Homemade hummus

Last night, we finally made hummus after talking about it for a long long time. Our mini food processor is unfortunately broken, so we used our big blender instead. Not optimal, but it did end up like hummus in the end.
The ingredients;
3 cans chickpeas
4 small cloves of garlic
1-1 ½ tsp of salt
2 tbsp of. tahini
Juice of 2 lemons
1 cup of boiling water of water from the cans of chickpea
1 cup olive oil, plus a little extra to make the texture right
½ tsp. of ground cumin
a pinch of pepper
Method;
Crush the garlic and salt in a mortar into a smooth paste.
Add garlic paste and all the other ingredients in a food processor or blender, and blend until you have a fairly fine mass.
Season to taste along the way, and if necessary adjust the consistency with boiling water or olive oil.
It was a fairly large portion, so we have a lot left, which I am not sorry about. It is the perfect dip for a little afternoon snack or lunch tomorrow.
