Homemade spiced hot chocolate
With this cold winter weather we’ve been having here in Denmark, I felt that I deserved a nice hot cup of chocolate the other day.
This recipe is a bit different from the regular cup of cocoa. I spiced it up with…well a few spices.
50 g. of dark chocolate, roughly chopped
500 ml. of milk
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 star anise
1 cinnamon stick
In a pan, combine milk, sugar, star anise and cinnamon stick. Whisk to combine well. Add the chopped chocolate and stir as it melts completely.
Remove star anise and cinnamon stick. Pour into a cup and add whipped cream or marshmallows.
