We’ve had quite a few sweets snacks this past week, so I thought that it was time for a little change. One of Sillas’ friends is coming over to watch tonight’s Champions league match between FC Barcelona and AC Milan, so I’ve made a little football snack – salty almonds. Its a great snack, simple and just so wonderful and yes salty. Who doesn’t like salted almonds…
1 tablespoon of coarse salt
2 dl. water
200g of raw almonds
Bring salt and water to a boil in a pan and add the almonds. Keep the water boiling till it has evaporated completely, so the almonds are covered with a thin white layer of salt.
Put the almonds in a baking tray and place in the oven at 150 degrees C for approx. 20 – 30 min. until the almonds are dry. Take the almonds out and let them cool completely. Store them in an airtight container.
