Fall chopped salad

This is a wonderful, flavorful salad perfect for fall. I served it for my birthday dinner this weekend with prosciutto wrapped salmon and my friends loved it. My friend Gry kept saying how surprised she was by all the different flavors there was in one salad.
Ingredients
1 large head of romaine lettuce, chopped
Half a cucumber, chopped into bite size pieces
2 medium pears, chopped
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped walnuts
8 slices thick-cut bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled
100 g of feta cheese, crumbled
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, pears, cucumber, cranberries, walnuts, bacon and feta cheese. Toss and serve. Quick easy and amazingly tasty.
Frying bacon in the oven;
I fried the bacon in the oven. I had never done that before, but it was so easy that I will definitely be doing that again in the future. And you don’t end up smelling like bacon the rest of the day. What you do is; line grease-proof paper on a baking tray, add the strips of bacon, making sure they don’t overlap. Take another piece of grease-proof paper and lay on top of the bacon before putting they tray in the oven, set at 200 degrees C. It will take anywhere between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on the oven and how crisp you like your bacon. When they are don’t simply transfer the bacon to a plate with a bit of paper towel to absorb the grease.
