Caramel – made from a can of condensed milk
Do you have a can of condensed milk and a couple of hours to kill? Then you could make your very own creamy, gooey and wonderful caramel.
Its so easy and the result is really delicious!
All you need is a can of condensed milk, a stove and a pot of simmering water.
First remove the label from the can of condensed milk.
Place the can in the middle of a pot. Cover the can with water and bring to a boil.
Once the water is boiling turn down the heat and put a lid on pot.
Now let it simmer gently for 3 hours. Make sure that the can of condensed milk is fully covered with water at all times. Otherwise it could crack.
After three hours, discard the water and let the can cool off for about an hour.
And there you go, a can of homemade caramel, ready for your ice cream, coffee, hot chocolate or cupcake filling.
