Bounty Balls

This recipe is so so simple and easy and yet it tastes like you’ve been in the kitchen for hours. You only need a small handful of ingredients. I recently bought a danish confections cook book and saw this cool trick to make homemade chocolates look like a million dollars. All it takes is a bit of eatable gold dust, you chocolates and a plastic bag. Shake and you’re done. I love it! Here’s the recipe for homemade juicy bounty balls:

Oatmeal cookies with raspberries & white chocolate

A few months back our little family visited a café and I bought a few cookies for dessert, just because they were on display rights by the cash register. I’m an easy target that way. Anyway, they were so good that I wanted to recreate them. I love a nice and chewy cookie, so I decided to go with an oatmeal cookie. I’m pretty happy with the result and will definitely bake them again soon for the holiday. And then I’ll add more of all the spices so they will be packed with holiday flavor. This batch makes about 30 small cookies.

Granola Bars

This time of year I usually bake a few cakes using my NFL helmet pan and decorate the cakes with lots of icing. But this year I’m doing something a bit healthier, but still really sweet and delicious. Granola bars. Easy to make plus you can use a large variety of ingredients to fit everyone’s taste – I went in on for a bit of inspiration. I was walking trough our local grocery store the other day and spotted tray of new, fresh and juicy Danish strawberries. Yum, summer in  tray! Hazelnut nougat and chocolate chip cookies

This weekend was full of fun birthday celebrations. First a great and really fun 30th birthday party on Saturday and then a sweet and cozy 5th birthday party on Sunday. Greek Yogurt dish for breakfast or for dessert

This is so simple, fresh and just yummy. I made it for myself last Saturday for dessert and then again when Sillas and I had it for breakfast Sunday morning. And it works perfect for either course. I used the mint syrup that I made last week. I don’t really know why, but it brings out the almonds flavor, it brilliant.  And the dish is so quick and easy that you could easily use it as a last minute dessert. Chunky Monkey Ice cream

I got an ice cream machine for Christmas in 2011 but haven’t gotten around to using it – until now. Better late than never I guess. I wanted to make two kinds of ice cream; one flavor that I chose and one that Sillas chose. I looked through my amazingly good looking ice cream book – ‘The Icecreamist’ and chose peanut butter ice cream, and Sillas’ choice was Chunky Monkey – Banana ice ream with chocolate and walnut chunks. We’ve had quite a few sweets snacks this past week, so I thought that it was time for a little change. My Jamie Oliver domestic project continues. This time with a lovely and sweet afternoon shake. Very simple, few ingredients and yet so so tasty.
